Short description of the program
The main purpose of the University's educational activity in the specialty "Computer Engineering" for the educational degree "Master" is the professional training of high-level specialists who have fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills in modelling, design, development and maintenance of computer and software systems; capable of setting and performing tasks of the appropriate level of professional activity, focused on research and solving complex problems of designing and developing computer and software systems to meet the needs of science with the formation of a student's scientific outlook and broad outlook in the social, humanitarian, fundamental and professional spheres. The achievement of this goal is based on the principles of continuity and individualization of learning, fundamentality and integrity of knowledge, practical orientation and awareness of the place of the acquired competences, symbiosis of scientific and systematic approaches, etc.

- The emphasis of the educational programme is on the formation of basic professional competencies in information technology, computer systems and networks;
- The main focus of the educational programme is to develop in-depth knowledge of the theory of infocommunications, concepts of construction, design, research and long-term planning of development, operation of computer systems and networks;
- The programme reveals the prospects for the development of computer systems and networks based on convergent solutions, software configuration of telecommunication systems and networks;
- Possibility to continue studying at the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education and to acquire additional qualifications in the system of postgraduate education
- At least 35 per cent of the curriculum is aimed at studying general and specialised knowledge.
