Short Description of the Program

This program is based on modern approaches and concepts, technical solutions and technologies, forms of innovative research, organizational and production activities in the field of environmental protection at various levels (regional, local, local business). The Program focuses on the ability to choose environmental technologies and innovative solutions in the field of environmental protection and environmental safety in the implementation of economic activities.

The main learning outcomes are: awareness of the latest principles and methods of development, design and adoption of innovative technical and technological decisions in the field of environmental protection (atmosphere, water bodies and systems, soils, forest resources, nature reserves, management of waste, human habitats).

Accordingly, the Program focuses on professional components: methods of selecting optimal environmental measures and solutions to ensure environmental safety, design of environmental protection and environmentally safe technological processes, analysis, forecasting and assessment of risks of man-made environmental impact in economic activities.

Program Benefits

• The result of the program is the mastery of the ability to conduct research in the field of environmental protection (atmosphere, water bodies and systems, soils, forest resources, nature reserves, human habitats);
• Approbation of acquired skills is carried out during internships in management and research institutions, in the framework of participation in national and international competitions of student research papers; in the framework of participation in the development and implementation of regional, state and international environmental projects and programs;
• Wide choice of the main places of work: at the industrial enterprises, in higher educational institutions, in design establishments and research institutes and laboratories, in the nature protection organizations of public authorities and inspection activity on technogenic and ecological supervision;
• After mastering the Program, further professional or scientific career is possible in the following areas: environmental management, environmental management and audit, energy conservation, environmental monitoring, environmental information systems;
• Qualified specialists under this Program are able to perform professional work in the following areas: engineering; subsoil and resource use; land use; water management; forestry; biotechnology; rationalization of production, intellectual property and innovation; in the field of project and program management; in the field of civil service, marketing, efficiency of economic activity; in the field of nature reserve; as well as to be teachers of universities and higher education institutions and other professionals in the field of education.
