Brief description of the program
This program is based on modern approaches and concepts, technical solutions and technologies, forms of innovative research, organizational and production activities in the field of environmental protection at various levels (regional, local, local business). The main focus of the program is on the ability to select environmental protection technologies and innovative solutions in the field of environmental protection and environmental safety in the conduct of business activities.
The main learning outcomes are: awareness of the latest principles and methods of development, design and adoption of innovative technical and technological solutions in the field of environmental protection (atmospheric environment, water bodies and systems, soils, forestry, nature reserve fund, waste management, human habitat).
Accordingly, the program focuses on professional components: methods for selecting optimal environmental protection measures and solutions to ensure environmental safety, designing environmental protection equipment and environmentally friendly technological processes, analyzing, forecasting and assessing the risks of man-made environmental impacts in business activities.
Advantages of the program
- The result of studying under the program is the acquisition of the ability to conduct scientific research in the field of environmental protection (atmospheric environment, water bodies and systems, soils, forestry, nature reserve fund, human habitat);
- The acquired skills are tested during internships in management and scientific institutions, as part of participation in national and international competitions of student research papers; as part of participation in the development and implementation of regional, national and international environmental projects and programs;
- A wide range of main jobs: at industrial enterprises, in higher education institutions, in design institutions and research institutes and laboratories, in environmental protection organizations of public authorities and inspection activities for technogenic and environmental supervision;
- After completing the program, further professional or academic careers are possible in the following areas: environmental management, environmental management and audit, energy conservation, environmental monitoring, environmental information systems;
- Specialists trained under this program are able to perform professional work in the following areas: engineering; subsoil and resource use; land use; water management; forestry; biotechnology; production rationalization, intellectual property and innovation; project and program management; civil service, marketing, business performance; and nature conservation; as well as to be teachers of universities and higher education institutions and other professionals in the field of education.
