Brief description of the program

Students acquire the skills of designing, organizing and managing land resources based on the application of theoretical provisions; regulatory framework; use of modern GIS technologies for geodetic and cartographic support of land management; the use of scientific methods of researching the state of land resources; detection of crisis phenomena of land resources; carrying out scientific substantiation of measures for the protection of land resources, organization of balanced land management and planning of territorial development.

Benefits of the program

• Graduates of the educational program "Geodesy and land management" acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the implementation of tasks in the design, organization and management of land resources based on the use of modern GIS technologies for geodetic, cartographic and cadastral support.

• The university has computer classrooms for conducting laboratory classes in professional disciplines. Students acquire design skills using AutoCAD, Digitel, MapInfo programs.

Possibility of study and internship abroad

Students have the opportunity to study under Erasmus+, DAAD programs at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences(Lübeck, Germany).

Management of Land Resources; GIS in Cadastral Systems; Monitoring and Land Protection; Economy and Modern Legal Process in Land Management; Territorial Development Planning.

Positions that graduates can hold

Masters of the educational program "Geodesy and land management" successfully work in managerial and engineering positions in geodetic and cartographic departments, in the departments of the Poltava Regional Main Department of Land Resources, the Poltava City Department of Land Resources and Land Cadastre, the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in Poltava Region, in the departments of land management and geodesy of agricultural holdings and enterprises of the gas production complex.
