From March 9 to 22, the 7th European Futsal Championship for athletes with hearing impairments took place in Poreč (Croatia). The national team of Ukraine was represented by futsal players, including a student of group 303-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports at the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic,” Renat Bezpaliuk.
Our university community is filled with immense pride. The team of Renat Bezpaliuk, under the guidance of coach Serhii Hupalenko, achieved a remarkable victory, winning gold at the European Futsal Championship among players with hearing impairments.
Renat was also awarded the title of “Best Young Player of the European Championship.”

In the decisive match, the Ukrainian team faced the strong national team of Italy. The regular time ended in a 2:2 draw. Each team scored once more in extra time, bringing the score to 3:3. The outcome was decided in a penalty shootout – 3:5. Ukraine became the European champion.
This triumph is the result of tremendous effort, resilience, and determination of our athletes. It is especially inspiring that among the heroes of this victory is our student, our champion – Renat Bezpaliuk. His journey is a powerful example of willpower, perseverance, and true dedication to sport. It is a story of how a dream becomes reality through daily hard work, self-belief, and passion.
This victory symbolizes the strength of the Ukrainian spirit, unity, and determination that drives us toward new achievements.
