On June 9-10, the International Web Conference on Changes in Cooperation and Higher Education 2020, organized by Bialystok University of Technology (Poland) was held under the aegis of Rector Lech Dzienis in partnership with 16 higher education institutions from 21 countries. Among the partners of the conference is National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.
More than 300 speakers from 100 universities of 48 countries, from Mexico to Malaysia, participated in the conference in total.
The conference was opened by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Bialystok University of Technology Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, who mentioned that CHEC-2020 is an international forum for exchanging experience and thoughts on the challenges faced by higher education institutions in this difficult period, and on the development of international cooperation in the nearest future.
The participants discussed their experience and problems of introducing online education and online teaching during the pandemic, re-planning the educational programs and courses, mixed educational forms, holding exams and tests in the new conditions, and international cooperation in such a period.
Among the speakers of the conference was the Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Cooperation of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Svitlana Sivitska.
“During the pandemic, our university has been transformed into an online hub for students from 40 countries, including those studying on English-taught programs. Today, new possibilities for international academic exchange online and for joint international educational programs are opening,” Svitlana Sivitska mentioned and presented the possibilities of international cooperation.
Bialystok University of Technology is one of the strategic international partners of our university. The cooperation between the universities, founded by the Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko, is a bright example of effective international cooperation. International academic exchanges and double-diploma programs are realized, joint conferences, summer schools and courses are held, the Ukrainian-Polish center, where university students are learning the Polish language, is functioning.
