Within the framework of the agreement on cooperation in the educational and scientific spheres between National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, a delegation of representatives of student self-government of Chernihiv Polytechnic paid a working visit to Poltava Polytechnic.
“Despite the war, we continue to implement our plans and fill our cooperation agreement with concrete deeds, and my dear colleague and friend – the rector of the Chernihiv Polytechnic Oleh Novomlynets fully supports these initiatives.
The round table “Student youth is the driving force of our state” took place in the format of a sincere conversation among friends – Chernihiv students told what the beginning of a full-scale war was like for them, how they managed to survive under shelling, and some of the students withstood the occupation. We mentioned how we handed over humanitarian aid to them in the spring and how we are glad that the university is now recovering from the damage; we discussed the specifics of life and study in today’s conditions. Students exchanged gifts, which will remain as a memory of this special moment in our lives and the happiness of live communication.
I am very delighted to meet such wonderful students! Our student self-government initiated awards for Chernihiv students – I am sure that in the near future we will hear the names of these patriotic and active young people among the outstanding figures who will be involved in the reconstruction and innovative development of post-war Ukraine.

Poltava Polytechnic students gave personal Citations to their Chernihiv friends for their courage, bravery, high patriotism, active citizenship and love for their native land. Citations were awarded to:
- Oleksandr Likhuta – Head of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Bohdan Soroka – Deputy Head of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Denys Dovhyi – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Anton Popov – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Kseniia Koval – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Sofiia Lytvynenko – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Anastasiia Surelo – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Ivan Vertebnyi – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Viktoriia Roshchyna – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Alina Babych – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Pavel Khomenko – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Anastasiia Fursa – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
- Andrii Tokmachev – member of the Student Council of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.
The work of the Rector of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Oleh Novomlynets was also recognized with the Citation “For stability and courage, bravery, public activity and dedication, high patriotism and love for the native land”.
Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Anna Aheicheva conducted a campus tour for the guests and familiarized them with the social project “Free path to integration is elimination of language barriers”.
Student youth visited innovation laboratories, got acquainted with opportunities in the sphere of humanities, IT and the oil and gas industry. Instead, Poltava students learned about the interesting opportunities of the Chernihiv Polytechnic. In the evening the student body of the Poltava Polytechnic also gave the guests a tour of Poltava.
It should be recalled that Poltava Polytechnic provided humanitarian aid to Chernihiv Polytechnic, campuses of which were hit by shelling.
Earlier, a delegation of Poltava Polytechnic scientists visited Chernihiv Polytechnic, and later Chernihiv scientists paid a working visit in return and took part in the annual international scientific conference held with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
