It should be recalled that the students of specialty 103 “Earth Sciences” of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Liubov Bezdudna, Mariia Zaitseva, Victoriia Komarevtseva, Anna Shcherbak and the students of specialty 185 “Oil and Gas Engineering and Technologies” Olha Prudnik and Anastasiia Tyshchytska became participants of the second International Virtual School operating on the basis of the leading Polish partner university – the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH UST). This project continues the successful implementation of the signed cooperation agreement between the AGH University of Science and Technology and National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”.
As part of the international educational project, from May 13 to 21, 2023, future professionals attended practically oriented lectures by leading oil and gas industry scientists from around the world and shared positive impressions from their stay at the Polish partner university.
“The intensive international education program of NAWA SPINAKER has filled our hearts from the first days of training!
It is still hard to believe that in such difficult times for our country, education does not stand still, but develops confidently and dynamically. Thanks to the Poltava Polytechnic, we have the opportunity to gain a new wonderful experience and visit the wonderful city of Krakow.
The AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow immediately impressed us with its scale. It is nice to feel the support and warmth from the Poles. Professor Jan Ziaja personally met us and showed us to comfortable rooms in the AGH dormitory,” – said student of the School Liubov Bezdudna.
“The composition of our team is the largest – six students of the third and fourth academic years, but in a short spell of time we have already managed to make friends with other participants of the project, students from Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Baku (Azerbaijan).
The first day of training was incredibly exciting for us. It was interesting to hear the Polish language, which is somewhat similar to ours, and to practice English (after all, all lectures are conducted in English), to see with our own eyes a new area for us and to feel the comfortable conditions of study,” – added student Mariia Zaitseva.
“Today’s morning began with an informative and educational lecture by Professor Jan Ziaja about modern trenchless technologies, construction and reconstruction of gas pipelines, in particular about horizontal directional drilling. We asked creative questions and got interesting answers. Then we had a delicious lunch in the student dining hall. And we continue our studies again, this time holding discussions with the professor of our university Yurii Vynnykov.
We are constantly waiting for new knowledge and are sure that NAWA SPINAKER will be an unforgettable experience in our lives!” – said other participants of the second International Virtual School.
Previously, female Polytechnic students studied the activities of European business brands, studying under an academic exchange program at a Romanian university, future public managers got acquainted with the work of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, and a construction student presented young Polytechnic students with the possibilities of the “Building Ukraine Together” volunteer movement.
