Open Call for the ICM Program at Humber Polytechnic (Canada) for the 2026-2027 Academic Year!

In the modern world, professional growth is impossible without global integration. Academic mobility programs are not just about studying abroad; they are an investment in your competitiveness. Our partners worldwide, including the best institutions in North America, open doors to a unique international experience that will significantly enhance your diploma and career prospects.

National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” invites students to apply for the Study in Canada Scholarships (SICS) exchange program! This prestigious program, funded by Global Affairs Canada, allows students to spend a semester (minimum of 4 months) in Canada, studying under a credit-bearing academic mobility program at a partner higher education institution, Humber Polytechnic (Canada).

Founded in 1967, Humber Polytechnic is one of the largest and most innovative public post-secondary institutions in Canada. The institute is known for its practice-oriented learning, close collaboration with industry, and high graduate employment rates. Students from Poltava Polytechnic will gain access to modern laboratories, advanced technology programs, and a unique North American educational culture, helping them become world-class specialists.

Important Dates:

Application deadline: March 11, 2026.

Notification of selection results (at the Humber Polytechnic level): approximately May 2026.

❗Important Organisational Note:

Candidate selection occurs exclusively at the university level. Applications for the SICS program can only be submitted officially on behalf of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” through Humber Polytechnic. Any independent applications from individuals or other institutions will not be considered.

The preliminary selection of candidates is conducted at Poltava Polytechnic. Candidates must obtain an English proficiency certificate that meets the host institution’s (Humber Polytechnic) requirements in advance, at their own discretion and expense. A key step is obtaining confirmation (approval of the study plan) from the graduating department that the proposed exchange program aligns with the student’s educational program. After this, the department provides the International Relations Office (Room 213-C, email: interoffice@nupp.edu.ua) with 2 official memos (according to the regulations) and a Letter of Support in English in an arbitrary form regarding the recommended students, in both printed and electronic formats. Based on these documents, the competition committee will convene for the final review of the applicants. After the ranking list is approved, the International Relations Office will provide the necessary assistance in preparing and finalising the package of documents for submission to Canada.

Course catalogues can be obtained from the International Relations Office.

Important: The final approved number of places for participation in the program (quota) will be determined and agreed upon with Humber Polytechnic after the completion of the internal selection of applicants.

1. Terms and Duration of Study

SICS program studies are planned for one academic semester (minimum duration – four months) during the 2026/2027 academic year. This may be the Fall or Spring semester. Students must consider the arrival timeframes for the exchange program: the estimated start is around August 1, 2026, and for those choosing the Winter/Spring semester, the final arrival date at the mobility location must be no later than the end of January 2027. The number of ECTS credits will be finalised and approved once our institution and the host institution agree upon the individual study plan.

2. Financial Support (SICS Scholarship)

Scholarship amount: 10,200 CAD per student for a minimum of four months or one academic semester.

Use of funds: The scholarship primarily covers or partially compensates for:

- medical insurance;

- accommodation, utility, and food expenses;

- local public transportation (including a pass);
