Five students of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas: specialty 185 “Oil and gas engineering and technologies” – Dmytro Viazovskyi, Vladyslav Lapko, Anastasiia Nohina, Vladyslav Ovcharenko and student of specialty 144 “Heat and Power Engineering” Dmytro Rukavyshnikov became the first students who switched to a dual form of education.
In accordance with the signed contracts, the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” undertakes to provide educational services to those seeking education in a dual form, PJSC “NAFTOGAZVYDOBUVANNYA” undertakes to ensure the implementing of the educational process practical component, and those seeking education undertake to achieve the learning outcomes, provided by the educational program. That is, future specialists can officially and productively combine study and work.
“We are making a breakthrough in the professionals’ training in the energy sector! Even before the war, we worked on the implementation of the order of the Ministry of Education and Science, which identified 44 universities in the country, which implemented dual education jointly with the company PJSC “NAFTOGAZVYDOBUVANNYA”. Despite the difficult circumstances and military actions, we are still implementing the set tasks, because everyone has to fulfil their duties in their place. We, for example, at the university have to provide quality education, the third week of distance education has already passed, but we are moving on and in this difficult time we are systematically implementing the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. This indicates that the university is really doing everything possible to train specialists in a high-quality way. And you, dear students, should acquire the knowledge necessary for the reconstruction of the country in order to ensure the energy independence of our state.
Today, every day is a history that we write ourselves. So today a historic moment took place – the signing of tripartite agreements between the university, PJSC “NAFTOGAZVYDOBUVANNYA”, and the students. These are students of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas. Each of them has their own success story and many years of conscientious training, thanks to which they got a job in one of the leading energy companies of Ukraine.
We are very proud of you and hope to see you in management positions in the nearest future. Evaluation of production workers, evaluation of the business of your specialty is an important indicator of the quality of training. Our university continues to make a worthy contribution to ensuring the energy security of our state by highly professional specialists. Unique equipment and a state-of-the-art material and technical base, a powerful staff of teachers, modern teaching approaches – these are all the opportunities that the university provides.

Acting Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Oil and Gas Anatolii Kaliuzhnyi noted that in addition to good studies, students worked on supplementary skills. For example, Dmytro Rukavyshnikov, a student of specialty 144 “Heat and Power Engineering” came in handy with a good knowledge of the English language, and Anastasiia Nohina, a student of specialty 185 “Oil and Gas Engineering and Technologies” worked for some time as a laboratory technician at the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Technologies and, having gained some work experience, moved to work also at the position of a laboratory assistant in the company PJSC “NAFTOGAZVYDOBUVANNYA”. The administration of the Educational and Research Institute supports students in every possible way and promotes employment.
“You are very lucky. You have entered such a wonderful university, which has all the conditions for high-quality education – a laboratory base, teachers of a decent level, as well as the rector who is so proactive and constantly takes care of you. Glad you are continuing the work of the previous generation. This deposit – Semirenkivske was explored by geologists about 30 years ago, I managed one of the enterprises that participated in its development. From experience, I will say that the oil and gas complex needs a wide range of specialties – from geologists, chemists, engineers, heat engineers to philologists, since the results of the work must be presented at the international level. It is a wonderful prospect to work in such an organization as the largest Ukrainian private gas production company, where there is a high level of work organization, safety equipment, and a social package. Thanks to your efforts and diligent study, you already have achievements. I wish you further success in life,” – wished Director of the Oil and Gas Training and Production Centre Petro Holub.
Earlier, the rector of the Polytechnic was elected as vice-president of the Ukrainian Oil and Gas Academy, and university scientists were elected as academicians.
