The students of group 101mHS of the Faculty of Sports of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Ihor Havryshko, Yaroslav Sushko and Yevhenii Ostapchuk won gold at the European Championship of Kettlebell Lifting held on September 27 - October 5 in Naestved, Denmark.
According to the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine, the National Team was awarded the first place among juniors and seniors, receiving 56 gold medals.
Our athletes won in the weight categories of up to 63, 73 and 95 kg, adding the gold medals to the total number of the National Team of Ukraine.
Honorable Master of Sport of Ukraine in kettlebell lifting Ihor Havryshko won in the weight category of up to 73 kg; International Class Master of Sport of Ukraine Yevhenii Ostapchuk won in the weight category of up to 63 kg; International Class Master of Sport of Ukraine Yaroslav Sushko won in the weight category of up to 95 kg.
The winners are receiving the Master’s degree in the specialization No. 017 Physical Education and Sport of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and hold training in kettlebell lifting for the university students.
This year a Polytechnic graduate became the all-round champion of the Arnold Sports Festival in the USA in kettlebell lifting.
