The working group brings together key international partners and is currently working on mobilizing all possible resources to solve the urgent problems of Ukrainian education in the war and post-war periods.
The Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet, together with the team of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, presented project proposals, which also represent the key priorities of education policy.
"We have developed 6 projects with a high priority and a horizon of implementation before the beginning of the new academic year or even sooner. These include digital devices for education, the 2022 admission campaign, the publication of textbooks and manuals for the New Ukrainian School, the opening of educational hubs abroad, the expansion of the fleet of school buses for general secondary education institutions, the development of STEM education at the New Ukrainian School. Thank you to all friends and partners of Ukraine for the unprecedented support of Ukrainian education and science, for not leaving our requests unheeded and for always being in touch and ready to help. I believe that together we can do everything!" – said Serhii Shkarlet.
The Minister also announced the development of 5 more important projects that can be implemented within 1-2 years, and their implementation will help avoid educational losses and ensure the sustainability of Ukrainian education in a difficult time for the country: a digital educational passport; creation of educational catch-up programs and tools; creation of educational and practical centers according to the sectoral direction; career guidance and career building "Choose your dream profession"; training of teachers/students to provide pre-medical assistance.
"I fully support all five identified main priorities in the development of the education system: ensuring the stability and continuity of education, creating safe conditions for learning and teaching, psychological support for participants in the educational process, restoring the educational infrastructure in the near future and continuing reforms as well as quality transformations at all levels of education. I would like to note that all these priorities are taken into account in the modern activities of our university.
The Ukrainian education system suffered a lot from the atrocities of the aggressor, russian troops continue to kill civilians and bombard our cities. It is still impossible to establish all the losses, and in the future, education will require enormous efforts to restore itself. I am sure that with such strong support from partners and the professional team of the Ministry, we will overcome this challenge with dignity! Ukrainian education at all levels will be modern!" – commented, Rector of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
Previously, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator and the Ukrainian Startup Fund held an online workshop for Ukrainian startups "The European Unicorn factory: funding opportunities for Ukrainian innovators".
