On November 12, the members of the highly professional jury of the annual competition of student scientific papers "From student self-government to community self-government" held a meeting, where they considered the submitted student researches and announced the winners of this year's competition, founded by the Poltava Regional Council in order to comprehensively promote public initiatives of student youth of the town and Poltava region, its involvement in active participation in the life of the amalgamated territorial communities of the region.
The jury included the First Deputy Chairman of the Poltava Regional Council Oleksandr Lemeshko, and the meeting was moderated by the Deputy Chairman of the Poltava Regional Council Liliia Ruroieva, who stressed the relevance and practical nature of the presented student researches and projects.
When determining the winners of the competition, the jury took into account the following criteria – compliance of student scientific papers with the established standards of evaluation and the results of public defence of the presented research. In accordance with the Regulations of the competition and taking into account the high level of scientific papers considered in 2021, the jury established three First, two Second and three Third Prizes.
The scientific paper of a student of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" Mykhailo Buhaievskyi – "Digital Hub Project "Upmix" as a platform for supporting territorial communities" was highly appreciated by the jury and awarded the Second Prize.
According to the author, the creation of such a platform as a powerful platform for supporting territorial communities will certainly be useful to the most digitized communities of the Poltava region.
"Development of such platforms is not my first practical experience in the field of IT technologies. Last year I presented my own project and won. After graduating from the Startup School of Poltava Polytechnic, I received a number of necessary practical tools and skills, and university lecturers are always willing to help, provide guidance and give advice. Therefore, this victory is clear evidence that our joint work will be useful, will help solve urgent problems of local self-government and will motivate us to work even harder in the future," – said the winner Mykhailo Buhaievskyi.
The solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the competition of student scientific papers will take place on December 7 to the Day of Local Self-Government.
It should be recalled that Mykhailo Buhaievskyi, a graduate of the Startup School of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", a student of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law in 2020, won the Competition of Investment Projects "Horizons of Poltava Region" from Poltava Regional State Administration. His startup "Digital platform for market analysis and approbation of Start-up projects, search for financing "Project market. ua" took first place.
