From 20 January to 2 February, 2025, the VI Winter School on Information Technologies in Data Processing and Security “Data Engineering and Security 2025” (DES 2025) was held online.
A second-year student of the educational programme “Computer Engineering” of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Roman Kuteiko successfully completed his studies at this school.
The goal of DES 2025 is to provide students with new knowledge and skills in the field of IT, to get acquainted with modern technologies and trends in data processing and protection. The training included both theoretical lectures and practical classes with IT industry experts. The programme covered topics in data analytics, cryptography, cybersecurity, software development, cloud computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence. The core of the DES 2025 curriculum covered a range of important areas such as: Software development, Soft Skills, Mobile development, Web development, High-performance computing, Databases & Data warehouses, Cloud services and technologies, Cloud computing, Big Data, Data analysis & Data processing, Machine & Deep Learning, Machine Learning toolchain, Advanced Machine Learning, Generative AI, Real-world AI applications, Application of AI in cyber security and data processing, Virtual reality, Metaverse, Digital twins, Artificial Intelligence of Things, Cyber Security and many others.
The school brought together about 1400 participants from different countries, including students and young professionals from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria and the United Arab Emirates.
Roman Kuteiko became one of the graduates of this school, having successfully completed the course programme. His achievement is proof of the high level of Poltava Polytechnic students’ training as well as their motivation for professional development in the IT field.
It should be recalled that students of Poltava Polytechnic joined the Huawei ICT Competition.
