Poltava Polytechnic students are invited to take part in the Global UGRAD academic mobility programme

NGO “Educated Initiative”, which has a 16-year history in education, reminds students about the Global UGRAD academic mobility programme, the deadline for which is 15 December at 18:00. The programme will contribute to the academic and professional development of students.

Founded in 2008, the Kharkiv Regional Youth NGO “Educated Initiative” implements educational projects for young people, vulnerable social groups and provides humanitarian assistance to war-affected people. In 2023, it became an accredited partner of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. It has a wide presence in different regions of Ukraine: Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernivtsi, Ternopil and others. It cooperates with international organisations and Ukrainian businesses. Together with the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, the NGO “Educated Initiative” invites students to join the Global UGRAD academic mobility programme. During the programme, future leaders in any field will spend a semester at US universities to improve their knowledge and skills as well as explore US culture and values.

It should be recalled that the application deadline is 15 December at 18:00, so there is not much time left to prepare a quality application.

Global UGRAD is one of the most prestigious exchange programmes in the world, implemented by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, and the world-renowned World Learning organisation, with technical administration in Ukraine carried out by the NGO “Educated Initiative”.

The programme provides an opportunity to establish cooperation with global educational institutions. And free academic mobility will contribute to the academic and professional development of students. It is important that after completing the programme, participants are required to return to Ukraine and continue their studies for at least one year, which will ensure that they share their experience with their home university and Ukraine.

The programme is open to students who:  

  •  are currently reside and study in Ukraine full-time in the 1st or 2nd year of their bachelor’s degree;  
  •  are over 18 years of age on the date the programme starts in the United States;  
  •  have demonstrated leadership potential through academic work, community involvement, and extracurricular activities;  
  •  have a good command of written and spoken English;  
  •  have the ability to begin their studies in the United States in September 2025 or January 2026.

In order to apply for the programme, you must submit:  

  • a filled in application form, 
  • 2 letters of recommendation, 
  • a copy of your passport or ID card, 
  • certificate of full-time university studies together with a grades transcript.
