On May 5-7, 2023, the 17th Ukrainian Cheerleading Championship among pupils and students of higher education institutions was held in the city of Lviv on the basis of the “Bosco-Arena” sports club. Athletes from the cities of Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv and Kyiv region, Odesa, Kropyvnytskyi, Kamianskyi, Pokrovsk, Poltava, Lviv, Uzhhorod, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi competed for the championship. During three eventful days, the members of the highly professional jury determined the winners and prize-winners in six nominations – “hip-hop team”, “hip-hop quartet”, “hip-hop duet”, “jazz team”, “jazz duet” and “dance-team”. According to the results of the competition, the coaching staff of the Championship identified the best athletes who will represent our country at prestigious international tournaments. Due to the introduction of martial law and active hostilities on the territory of our country, the competition was held without spectators.
According to the organizers of the sports tournament, the geography of the competition is pleasantly impressive, and they would especially like to note the participation of athletes from cities affected by the full-scale invasion of the russian federation.
Cheerleaders of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” successfully performed at the XVII Championship of Ukraine among pupils and students of higher education institutions and won gold awards of prestigious sports competitions. As part of the picked team of the city of Poltava, the Polytechnic was represented at the championship by: Kseniia Kolomiiets, Master of Sports of Ukraine, student of academic group 401-FM of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law; Anastasiia Holub, student of group 101-FS of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports; Master of Sports of Ukraine in cheerleading, Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education, Associate Professor of the Department of Choreography and Dance sports of Poltava Polytechnic Tetiana Synytsia.
According to the results of the competition, the female athletes of the Poltava Polytechnic have a gold medal in the “hip-hop team” nomination. According to the participants, each new victory positively motivates them to train even harder, prepare more actively for performances and unites the team around reaching the next step of the sports Olympus.

It should be recalled that earlier the Polytechnic cheerleaders became the gold medallists of the XIX Championship of Ukraine among adults, female and male juniors, won a full set of awards of the Championship of Ukraine among adults, female and male juniors, won gold and silver medals at the Open Championship of the city of Kyiv and became the medallists of the Championship of the city of Poltava.
Recently, the Polytechnic female athletes became gold and silver medallists of the European Powerlifting Championship, the Polytechnic athletes became the gold and bronze medallists of the Championship of Ukraine among students of HEI in weightlifting, the Polytechnic athletes became the absolute champions of the Cup of Ukraine in paraswimming.
