Erasmus+ in Estonia: Mobility Opportunity for Architecture Students at the Estonian University of Life Sciences

National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” announces a call for applications for the Erasmus+ credit academic mobility program at the Estonian University of Life Sciences (Estonia) for architecture students. Two selected candidates will spend the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year in Estonia, receiving a monthly scholarship of 800 EUR and a travel allowance.

About the Program

  • Host University: Estonian University of Life Sciences, Estonia.
  • Mobility Period: spring semester (5 months), 2025/2026 academic year.
  • Language of Instruction: English (B2 level or higher is required).

Financial Conditions

The Erasmus+ program fully covers the participants' expenses:

  • Monthly Scholarship: 800 EUR (for 5 months).
  • Travel Allowance: 275 EUR (one-time payment).
  • Additional Financial Support: 250 EUR per month for students from socially vulnerable categories (with supporting documents).
  • Accommodation: the host university assists with dormitory placement.

Requirements for Candidates

The call is open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th-year students of the Institute of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Land Management, studying in the fields of “Architecture and Urban Planning”, “Architecture of Buildings and Structures”, “Urban Planning”, and “Urban Construction and Management”.

Main Selection Criteria

  • High academic performance.
  • Proficiency in English at B2/C1 level.
  • A valid international passport.
  • High motivation; active participation in social, volunteer, or academic life of the university will be an advantage.

Application Procedure

Step 1. Contact your Home Department

  • The student contacts their home department to discuss the possibility of participating in the program.
  • The department evaluates the compatibility of the study programs between the home and host universities.
  • If the disciplines are compatible:
    • the department prepares two official recommendation letters (as per the mobility document list) and informs the dean's office to issue a transcript of records.
    • Students who do not receive the required departmental recommendations and transcript, which confirm the possibility of credit recognition, will not be admitted to the English language test.

Step 2. Prepare Your Personal Documents

The student prepares the following documents in English:

  • CV (PDF format, with a photo, max. 2 pages);
  • Motivation Letter (max. 1 page, PDF);
  • Scan of your international passport (first page, PDF);
  • Passport-sized photo (.jpg);
  • English language proficiency certificate (if available).
  • Motivation letters will be checked for plagiarism and AI-generated content. Submitting the same letter for multiple mobility programs is prohibited.
  • Documents that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted.

Step 3. Submit Your Documents

The complete package of documents must be submitted in both electronic and printed formats through your home department to the International Relations Office (Room 213-C).

Step 4. Selection of Candidates

  • Candidates will undergo a written test and an oral interview in English.
  • The selection will also take into account:
    • social circumstances (students from low-income families, with children, with disabilities, adopted status, chronic illnesses, etc.),
    • participation in volunteer, educational, or academic initiatives and projects.

Step 5. Final Selection

  • Candidates who successfully pass the initial stage will be invited for an online interview with coordinators from the Estonian University of Life Sciences, which will make the final decision.

  • English Language Test: September 23, 2025 (at 10:00, 318-с).
