Head of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Iryna Chychkalo-Kondratska completed an international internship at the University of Warsaw from Collegium Civitas “Internationalisation of Education. New and innovative teaching methods. Implementation of international educational projects in the EU financial perspective”.
During the period from 12 February to 22 March 2024, a Poltava Polytechnic scientist improved her professional competences and after the successful completion of the training she received a certificate with a total amount of 180 hours (6 ECTS credits).
The participants of the international internship were greeted by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Collegium Civitas, Doctor of Humanities Katarzyna Maniszewska.
As part of the international internship, the students had a unique opportunity to listen to a series of lectures:
- The art of formulating goals and criteria for student success, lecturer – Dobroslav Bilskyi;
- Representative for people with disabilities – inclusion and support for students with disabilities, lecturer – Dobroslava Khorynska-Khudy;
- Activation methods: brainstorming, development of students’ creativity, the art of asking questions, lecturer – Eva Duda-Matseevska;
- Academic Career Office as a first step to a career for students, lecturer – Dobroslava Khorynska-Khudy;
- How to take care of your own motivation and enjoyment of everyday work – preventing burnout, lecturer – Dobroslav Bilskyi;
- How to prepare a good presentation, lecturer – Patrick Gavor;
- Visual thinking in science and education, lecturer – Eva Duda-Matseevska;
- Coaching techniques in pedagogical work, lecturer – Patrick Gavor.
According to the participant Iryna Chychkalo-Kondratska, during the internship it was valuable to learn about the experience of the leading Polish university in training specialists with higher education, as well as assisting and monitoring their career development; to communicate with colleagues from the European Union and other Ukrainian higher education institutions while discussing the most pressing issues, in particular, motivational factors and preventing the risks of burnout in work, developing stress resistance in the difficult conditions in Ukraine today. The scientist was also pleased to share her own many years of experience in using interactive methods in the educational process of international students and in holding extracurricular events at Poltava Polytechnic.
Recently, a Polytechnic scientist has successfully completed an international internship at a leading American educational institution, a philologist has improved her skills in preparing slide presentations after being trained by the Peace Corps in Ukraine, and another Polytechnic scientist has taken part in open science workshops in the Netherlands and Belgium.
