Since July 16, the European University Games – 2022 have been taking place in the city of Lodz (Republic of Poland), in which 234 students from 45 leading Ukrainian universities are taking part. Excellent results and the will to win in kickboxing sports confrontations in the semi-final and final competitions were demonstrated by the athletes of the picked team of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", replenishing the treasury of sports awards with significant achievements of the European level.
Mykhailo Serdiuk, a student of the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Construction and Land Management of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", became the champion of the European University Games – 2022 in WAKO kickboxing. The athlete won the gold award in the 63 kg weight category (full contact), confidently defeating his opponent in the final. Mykhailo Pashkov won silver in this weight category – in two disciplines "full contact" and "semi-contact", and bronze medalists were Rostyslav Herasymchuk, Bohdan Baziuk and Viktoriia Yurieva.
In total, during the second competition day, 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals were added to the treasury of sports awards of the National Team of Ukraine.

It should be recalled that the athletes of Poltava Polytechnic are participating in the European University Games in the Republic of Poland.
Previously, a Polytechnic student became the world champion in kickboxing, the rector of the university won a charity auction in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a Paralympic champion – a graduate of Polytechnic sold a gold medal at an auction to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
