The head of the Council of Young Scientists of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology and Translation of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Anna Pavelieva upgraded her qualifications at the online school “I choose Ukrainian. 10 steps to victory”, organized by the public organization “Innovative Horizons of Ukraine”.
The classes were held during December 11-17, 2022 as part of the project “Good Neighbors – One Country” on a free basis with the aim of consolidating the skills of mastering the competent Ukrainian language in everyday life and communication. The scientist of the Poltava Polytechnic successfully completed her studies within the project and according to the results of the contest “Unbreakable/Active!” received a certificate of participation in the amount of 30 hours/1 ECTS credit.
Work within the online school “I choose Ukrainian. 10 steps to victory!” was conducted under the leadership of 2 groups of speakers:
group of speakers 1:: Tetiana Sharova, Alina Zemlianska, Serhii Sharov;
group of speakers 2 : Olena Semenoh, Svitlana Yermolenko, Nataliia Kobylko.
The goal of the online school was to improve speaking skills and abilities; consolidating the use of language etiquette formulas in everyday situations, working out language technologies of self-presentation, deepening the skills of dialogic and monologic speech; expanding the idea of the lexical composition of the modern Ukrainian language, the literary norm and deviations from it (dialectisms, slangisms, verbal innovations, etc.). The participants examined the etymology of words related to family and household topics, deepened their own knowledge of the traditions and customs of the Ukrainian people, analyzed samples of folk art and author’s works of art, as well as familiarized themselves with popular science and reference publications in the context of the chosen topic.

For reference: the public organization “Innovative Horizons of Ukraine” unites citizens on the basis of the common interests of its members to implement goals and objectives with the aim of satisfying and protecting the scientific, social, cultural, educational and other interests of organization members and citizens, preserving the Ukrainian language, promoting patriotism.
Previously, the scientist successfully completed the II part of the course dedicated to the volunteer programs of the European Solidarity Corps, studied the possibilities and advantages of the volunteer programs of the European Solidarity Corps within the framework of the I part of the Erasmus+ course “MOOC on the European Solidarity Corps”, future skills needed by educators and scientists, underwent training in digital transformation of youth organizations, increased economic literacy and knowledge on labor legislation, studied international experience and best practices in waste recycling, improved practical skills in public speech presentation, participated in the Erasmus+ project in Turkey and studied media literacy in Leipzig.
