The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has announced the launch of a modern platform “Science and Business”, a new online site for communication and effective interaction between business and the scientific community. The opportunities created for constructive dialogue, fruitful professional communication and effective interaction between business and the scientific community will allow the parties to implement innovative products, attract additional investments, realize intellectual potential and commercialize research results.
“In order to stimulate the development of scientific potential and the country’s economy, we are creating and implementing new tools for cooperation between participants in this process. From now on, business representatives, scientists and innovators have the opportunity to interact with the help of a modern tool – “Science and Business” platform. Such a platform will save time to find the necessary solutions and tasks, stimulate and improve cooperation, as well as enhance the efficiency of researches and bring practical results,” – commented Deputy Minister of Education and Science for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitization of Ukraine Artur Seletskyi.

“Science and Business” platform was created by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine within the project of the federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The online service was presented on October 30, 2021 during the two-day Science&Business StartupBootcamp event, which was held for scientists, startup managers and entrepreneurs in the early stages of development in the field of science-intensive innovation and technology.
“Science and Business” platform provides ample opportunities:
- for scientists to present their scientific product or innovative development to business;
- for business to place inquiries about popular scientific products and innovations;
- to find partners to implement joint projects;
- to order scientific and technical examinations.
The platform provides:
- access to databases of scientific developments and current business needs;
- access to information and consulting support for scientists and business;
- simplified search for partners to implement joint projects both among scientists and business representatives;
- transition of the communication process to online mode;
- popularization of science, innovation and business focused on high-tech markets.
Representatives of the academic community, scientists (employees of universities, research institutions) thanks to the “Science and Business” platform will be able to:
- commercialize scientific results;
- introduce innovative products;
- find partners;
- gain access to research and innovation infrastructure;
- attract investment;
- receive income from the transfer of intellectual property rights.
