Student Victoriia Mazniak becomes the bronze winner of the III stage of the Petro Yatsyk International Ukrainian Language Competition

On February 13, 2023, on the basis of the Poltava Academy of Continuing Education named after M. V. Ostrogradskyi, the III (regional) stage of the Petro Yatsyk International Ukrainian Language Competition took place. A Poltava Polytechnic student Victoriia Mazniak became the bronze medallist of the regional stage of the competition, excelling in writing a thematic piece – a reflection on human mercy.

On February 13, 2023, on the basis of the Poltava Academy of Continuing Education named after M. V. Ostrogradskyi, the III (regional) stage of the Petro Yatsyk International Ukrainian Language Competition took place, where excellent knowledge of the native language and literature, various sections of linguistic science were demonstrated by students of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Poltava State Medical University, Poltava State Agrarian University, Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University.

National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” was presented at the competition by Nazar Boruta, student of group 103-TN of the Educational and Research Institute of Information Technologies and Robotics, Victoriia Mazniak, student of group 101-FI of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy, Yana Kapustian, student of group 203-TN of the Educational and Research Institute of Information Technologies and Robotics.

The bronze medallist of the regional stage of the competition was Victoriia Mazniak, a student of group 101-FI of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy, who successfully completed the competition tasks and wrote a reflection essay on the topic “True mercy is to benefit other people without thinking about the reward”.

According to Victoriia, an example of selfless service to people, assistance to military units and internally displaced persons was the activity of the University’s Volunteer Headquarters, founded by a graduate, the famous rap artist Artem Loik. Having an open civic position, the girl actively engages in volunteer activities and promotes purposefulness and high social responsibility among student youth. The winner was prepared by Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of the Ukrainian Studies, Culture and Documentation Svitlana Doroshenko.

“Despite the introduction of martial law, active student youth of the Poltava Polytechnic continue to actively participate in competitions that popularize the native language, national culture and form a respectful attitude to the history of their own state. Victoriia’s victory will be another powerful stimulus for the spiritual and intellectual growth as well as comprehensive development of young Ukrainians. We do not stop at what we have achieved; we create a new life page and are inspired by the examples of our colleagues! Ukraine is above all!” – commented the winner's academic supervisor, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of the Ukrainian Studies, Culture and Documentation of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Svitlana Doroshenko.

It should be recalled that the student Yana Kapustian became the prize winner of the III stage of the Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literary Competition for pupils and students.

Previously, Polytechnic master’s student became the silver prize winner of the scientific competition, after researching the cooperation of Ukraine and the EU in the field of organic agriculture, Polytechnic graduate created a universal ground drone and made the program for its modification freely available.
