Within the framework of the signed Memorandum on scientific and educational cooperation and partnership between the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and the software development company “Debit Plus” on the basis of the Poltava Polytechnic, an interesting scientific and educational event took place – the marketing director of the company “Debit-Plus” Serhii Mozhovyi visited the students to share practical experience, own professional achievements in in the field of accounting, to analyse the possibilities of the latest software in the preparation of financial statements, broad prospects for the development of automated systems in the field of accounting and taxation. At the invitation of scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation, the speaker held an online lecture session “Automation of accounting and financial reporting in the “Debit Plus” program” for students of the specialty 071 “Accounting and Taxation” of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law.
According to the guarantor of the educational program “Accounting and Taxation” for the bachelor’s degree, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation of the Poltava Polytechnic Yevheniia Karpenko, motivational meetings, events with the participation of stakeholders, useful practical cases from professionals in their field and the practical orientation of scientific and educational events organized by the university with the participation of managers of various branches, experienced specialists-practitioners will best demonstrate to modern student youth and graduates of various specialties their boundless prospects on the Ukrainian labour market.
“In today’s conditions of digitization, it is impossible to imagine accounting without the use of specialized software, therefore, in our university, when preparing students of the specialty 071 “Accounting and Taxation”, a significant emphasis is placed on the study of the latest software developments in the field of accounting, taxation and reporting automation. Today’s meeting is a landmark event for the students of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law, who will have in their eyes a convincing example of the fact that any branch of professional activity, including financial, is subject to people who are in love with their chosen profession.
We sincerely thank dear Serhii Anatoliiovych for supporting our initiatives and willingness to share his own experience with young people! The teacher called on young people to more actively participate in the discussion of current issues of the financial and economic sphere automation.
The topic of the open lecture is dictated by the modern challenges of informatization of society and the financial sphere in particular, as well as consideration of the issues of accounting and taxation systems automation, dependence on the level of software and work with reports through electronic systems will not lose its relevance in the future.
Serhii Mozhovyi spoke about the history of creation and work experience of the Ukrainian software development company “Debit Plus”, emphasized the advantages of this computer program and demonstrated the practical aspects of keeping records of wages in it.
“We still have a lot to work on, the developed software, automation systems need constant improvement, but we are making maximum efforts so that the achieved result gives professionals the opportunity to work effectively,” – said the marketing director of the “Debit Plus” company Serhii Mozhovyi.
Students actively asked questions and were interested in the conditions of successful certification and further employment in this company. The teachers of the Department of Finance, Banking and Taxation of Poltava Polytechnic joined the active discussion, as well as noted the wide range of conditions created by the university for fruitful, professional communication, scientific, educational and personal growth of graduates.

Earlier, future marketers discussed strategies for creating and promoting brands, future managers got acquainted with the work of the Interregional Administration of the NAUCS in Poltava and Kirovohrad regions, the head of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office gave a lecture on the implementation of IT technologies in public administration, and future geologists and oil workers learned about the industrial development of gold ore deposits objects, attended the lectures of the Head of the Ukrainian Geological Survey and scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
