Before the session of Poltava City Council, the Academic Board members listened to and made their decision on submitting students of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” to be awarded the Scholarship of Poltava City Council according to the Regulations “On Awarding and Paying the Scholarship of Poltava City Council to the Students of Higher Education Institutions of I-IV Accreditation Levels of Poltava” of February, 28, 2020.
“According to the Regulations “On Awarding and Paying the Scholarship of Poltava City Council to the Students of Higher Education Institutions of I-IV Accreditation Levels of Poltava” the extended meeting of the student self-government bodies chose and agreed on the future scholarship candidates. We have the right to submit the maximum number of 3 students from our higher education institution,” the President of the Student Parliament Oleksandr Lytvynenko commented.
To honor the community activity, organization of various events and students’ initiatives, participation in various students’ cultural and sport event of different levels, participation in study programs, projects and forums, the Scholarships of Poltava City Council will be awarded to:
- Ihor Zhyla, second-year student of the Education and Research Institute of Information Technologies and Mechanotronics, specialization No. 274 Motor Vehicle Transport;
- Anna Bondarenko, second-year student of the Faculty of Sports, specialization No. 017 Physical Education and Sport;
- Kseniia Kolomiiets, first-year student of the Education and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management, specialization No. 292 International Economic Relations.
“These students meet the requirements of the Regulations “On Awarding and Paying the Scholarship of Poltava City Council to the Students of Higher Education Institutions of I-IV Accreditation Levels of Poltava”, they are great examples for the students of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and deserve to receive the Scholarship of Poltava City Council,” the President of the university Student Parliament Oleksandr Lytvynenko summarized.
The heads of the university structural divisions supported the initiative of the student self-government and approved the candidates.
The Scholarship of Poltava City Council is awarded additionally to the main scholarship to the students of higher education institutions (public or private) of I-IV accreditation levels of Poltava, in which more than 200 students are enrolled at the moment of awarding the scholarship. The scholarship is awarded twice a year - from 01.09 to 01.03 and from 01.03 to 01.09. The scholarship candidate has to study at the higher education institution during the whole period of receiving the scholarship.
Higher education institutions (public or private) of I-IV accreditation levels of Poltava in which more than 5000 students are enrolled submit 3 candidates for the scholarship.
In 2020, the scholarship amounts to 1500 UAH. It is paid monthly from January 1, 2020.
