On October 27, on the basis of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", a "Career Day" was held – a series of scientific and educational, educative as well as motivational meetings of future specialists in the field of international economic activity and tourism with industry professionals, representatives of various tourist infrastructure facilities, and stakeholders.
Within the framework of the "Career Day", students majoring in "International Economic Relations" and "Tourism" of Poltava Polytechnic under the guidance of Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism, Professor Iryna Chychkalo-Kondratska got acquainted with the specifics of work in tourism sector of different European countries and received useful practical cases from experts in the hospitality industry of Turkey.
Students and scientists became active participants in an online meeting with specialists of the hotel and restaurant business of Turkey, top management of "ASA MANPOWER", art director of the hotel "Adam and Eve" and director of food service of the hotel "Phaselis Bay" – Safina Mamo, Mehmet Ali Unal, Zya Karac and discussed the prospects of undergoing an international internship at one of the best hotels in Turkey.






Due to quarantine restrictions caused by the global pandemic COVID-19, the dialogue of enterprising student youth of Poltava Polytechnic with potential employers has acquired a new, non-traditional format, which did not prevent the establishment of a constructive dialogue, fruitful professional communication and lively discussion of the prospects for the development of the global tourism industry. Listeners received thorough answers to the most pressing questions, exchanged best experience and achievements in the tourism industry, acquired skills and knowledge they plan to use in further educational, scientific and professional activities.
Establishing close partnerships with representatives of professional communities of European countries, openness to constructive dialogue, convenient format of cooperation, useful experience of foreign partners and the most effective cases of practitioners in the field of international economic relations and tourism positively motivate today’s youth to diligently master the chosen specialty and increase the competitiveness of university graduates in the modern labor market.

The simulated working situations, meetings with famous people, professionals, successfully fulfilled ones in the chosen field, cause a great interest among young people who follow current trends in the development of the national and international economy, features of tourism infrastructure, socio-cultural background of European countries.
At the end of the meeting, the participants of the event sincerely thanked the speakers for real practical cases and guidelines in working on their own professional growth and self-development.
Previously, scientists and entrepreneurs discussed the peculiarities of managing the tourism industry in modern conditions, and students of Poltava Polytechnic studied the features of modern hotel business.
