Two polytechnic students receive personal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has announced a list of students of Ukrainian higher education institutions who will receive personal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for high achievements in their studies and scientific activities from September 1, 2021. Among the scholarship holders are students of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Sofiia Dmytriuk and Anastasiia Kliepko.

According to the Decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of September 29, 2021 №1036 “On the designation of personal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to students of higher education institutions for 2021/2022 academic year” 274 students of leading Ukrainian higher education institutions will receive personal scholarships for high academic achievements during the whole academic year. Each higher education institution had independently selected and submitted candidates of each specialty. Relevant collegial commission reviewed the submitted documents and approved the candidates for scholarship.

Among the scholarship holders are Sofiia Dmytriuk, a student at the Faculty of Humanities of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, and Anastasiia Kliepko, a student at the Educational and Research Institute of Architecture, Construction and Land Management. Last year, Sofiia Dmytriuk, a student of the Faculty of Humanities, won the annual V. Korolenko Literary Prize for active participation in the public and cultural life of the city.

According to the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of June 5, 1996 № 226/96 – Verkhovna Rada “On Designation of Personal Scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Students of Higher Educational Institutions” (as amended), Clause 5 of the Procedure for Personal Scholarships of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by the decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of October 15, 2010 № 958 personal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will be paid monthly to the students of higher education institutions during the 2021/2022 academic year at their place of study, at the expense of funds provided in the general budget of the higher education institution for the payment of academic scholarships.

Personal scholarships for students of higher educational institutions were founded by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 1996 with the aim of moral and material encouragement of receiving higher education by students of higher educational institutions who have shown special success in their studies and scientific activities. The amount of the personal scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for students of higher education institutions of III-IV accreditation levels, who study at the educational and qualification level “bachelor” or “master” is 2.6 thousand hryvnias.

By words of Sofiia Dmytriuk, a student of the 401-HF group of the Faculty of Humanities, the excellent material and technical base of the university, skillful lecturers-advisors and her own desire for research and to promote youth science personally motivate her, and recognition of her successes and achievements at a high-level encourages making every effort to keep leadership among the best.

Previously, two students of Poltava Polytechnic were awarded academic scholarships of Heavenly Hundred Heroes, and students Oleksandr Lytvynenko and Mariia Belkina received personal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for high achievements in education and research activity.
