Ukraine is fighting: greetings from the rector of Poltava Polytechnic on the Independence Day of Ukraine!

Today, all Ukrainians in the world, with sadness in their hearts and joy, are simultaneously celebrating the main national holiday, a great achievement suffered by generations of Ukrainians, for which many lives and blood were sacrificed – Independence. And we are again fighting for its preservation and for our future. We have been fighting for life and freedom for exactly six months.

Ukraine is fighting: greetings from the rector of Poltava Polytechnic on the Independence Day of Ukraine!

This unites us very much, and the awareness of indomitability, courage of the people, desire to remain a free, independent, democratic state motivates and gives strength to fight.

We are proud of and thank the thousands of Ukrainian soldiers who stood up to protect the territorial integrity of the country, volunteers and everyone who is bringing Victory closer today on their front! Infinite gratitude to those thanks to whom we can live, work, teach and study, just rejoice at every new dawn on our native land!

Educators and students never stand aside from difficult challenges and write the history of our country together with those who, at the cost of their own lives, fight for its independence and drive out the occupiers. The staff of the Poltava Polytechnic maintains an educational front and performs humanitarian missions.

I am firmly convinced that we will rebuild our country with the efforts of hundreds of young, enterprising, persistent professionals, scientists, and conscientious citizens. Let's be worthy of the memory of all the dead, the sacrifice of our defenders and take care of each other. Ukraine begins with each of us.

I wish us Victory and a peaceful sky!

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes!

Sincerely
Rector, Professor Volodymyr ONYSHCHENKO
