The Decree “On Amendments to the Addendum to the Decree of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ‘On the Celebration of Memorable Dates and Jubilees in 2020’” was passed by the Parliament, as it was announced at the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to make amendments in the addendum to the Decree of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “On the Celebration of Memorable Dates and Jubilees in 2020” and added the following paragraph to the first chapter: “90 years of founding National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” (1930)”.
The Decree has been enacted since September 2, 2020, the day of its adoption.
“It is a great honor to start the academic year with such news. This is a special page of the history of our university. Our higher education institution was opened in the times of difficult social changes, but, despite the difficulties of each historical period, it has been training the best specialists of engineering, technical, construction, economic fields for almost a century. Now it’s a powerful European university of classical type: National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, and the list of specializations has been extended. We will announce the events to the celebration later. Congratulations to the faculty and the students’ body! Vivat, University!” Rector, Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenko said.
The Decree of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “On the Celebration of Memorable Dates and Jubilees in 2020” was prepared and supported by the Parliament to consolidate and develop the historical consciousness of the Ukrainian people, preserve the national memory and appropriately celebrate and honor the memorable dates, jubilees and anniversaries. The decree gives recommendations to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to prepare special events for spreading information about important dates, and to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport to organize thematic exhibitions dedicated to the memorable dates and jubilees of 2020 in cultural establishments.
