The Spanish National Research Council has published the results of the international ranking of universities Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities July 2024. The ranking includes more than 32,000 universities in the world. Ukraine is represented in the international ranking by 292 higher education institutions.
Poltava Polytechnic confidently took the 33rd position among the leading Ukrainian universities, having risen 27(!) positions, and continues to be the first university among the higher education institutions of Poltava.
As the flagship of higher education in Ukraine, the university is developing dynamically despite the war, has a wide representation in the modern web space and is included in the prestigious international ranking along with the powerful Harvard, Oxford and Cambridge universities.

It should be noted that the evaluation of the world’s universities presented in the ranking took into account a set of three key indicators:
- visibility (the number of external sources that contain backlinks to university web pages);
- transparency (number of scientific citations);
- quality (the number of articles by researchers that are among the top 10% of the most cited in 27 disciplines according to Scimago calculations).
