“Displaced persons living in the regional centre continue to receive food kits. In two days, the Poltava Regional Military Administration distributed 12,000 packages. Three issuing centres are open on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,” – said head of the RMA Dmytro Lunin.
Employees of the Poltava Polytechnic as well as College of Oil and Gas became volunteers of the humanitarian headquarters, collected kits and prepared packages for distribution. One package contains flour, sugar, canned goods, condensed milk, oil, coffee and cookies. One kit is designed for one person.
“From the very beginning of the war, the college became a centre for providing humanitarian aid to victims, evacuees and internally displaced persons. We have resettled people, for whom we have created comfortable conditions, we help with the most necessary. Everyone strives to be useful, we combine high-quality organization of the educational process, volunteering and support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now the task of organizing the delivery of packages for IDPs is very important. Our humanitarian mission is a contribution to the joint struggle for victory,” – commented Director Liubov Shumska.
The monthly kit is issued to displaced persons who have officially registered as internally displaced persons at the social security offices. Documents required for obtaining: an identity document and a certificate of registration of an internally displaced person. One person — a father, mother, other family member — can get food kits for the whole family. For this, it is necessary to have certificates of registration of IDPs for each family member.
If a person registered as an IDP in the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Shevchenkivskyi District Council in Poltava (30 Ivan Mazepa St.), s/he receives a grocery kit at this address: Shevchenkivskyi District of Poltava, Poltava College of Oil and Gas, Hrushevskyi St., 2a.
If a person registered as an IDP in the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Kyiv District Council in Poltava (Stepan Khalturin St., 13), then s/he receives a grocery kit at this address: Kyiv District of Poltava, Regional Centre for Aesthetic Education of Pupils, Sobornosti St., 67.
If a person registered as an IDP in the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Podilskyi District Council in Poltava (39 Anatolii Kukoba St.), s/he receives a food kit at this address: Podilskyi District of Poltava, Vocational College of Transport Construction, Slavy Sq., 4/2.
Previously, the university organized the reception by specialists of social security bodies for IDPs quickly and without queues, and Poltava Polytechnic and Karazin University signed an agreement on cooperation under martial law.
