“Considering the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemics, Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Volodymyr Onyshchenko titled 2021 the Year of Social Protection of Academic Employees. As of today, more than 10 employees of our university have already used such an opportunity and received financial support,” Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Economic Development Olena Filonych commented.
According to the declared goals and P. 7.2 of the Collective Contract signed between the administration and the collective of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” and approved at the conference of the employees, there is an opportunity of receiving financial support in case of necessity to solve social and personal issues, including help for employees who were diagnosed with COVID-19 and need serious medical treatment.
At the beginning of this academic year the university introduced additional safety measures to minimize risks of infection. There are non-contact thermometers at entrances, navigation rules and special maps of university buildings for keeping safe distance, and the schedule was corrected to add time for classroom disinfection. Teachers and students must wear personal protection means and only enter the campus with a mask covering their noses and mouths. There are special bins for used masks and gloves.
“The complicated situation that we are in right now due to the pandemic requires effective organization of the work process, coordinated and mutual support to lessen the negative influence of the pandemic on the lives of our employees. We react to the challenges and dangers, and take care of social protection. We want our university team to return to the campus without any losses and with new strengths to continue with normal life after this difficult time. The main goal of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” is to create safe and comfortable conditions for all the participants of the educational progress, both for students and for every university employee.
