Students of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" majoring in 014.021 "Secondary education (English language and literature)" of the Faculty of Philology, Psychology and Pedagogy – Anastasiia Bida, Yevheniia Yevtenko, Anna Luhova and Kateryna Shashko were accepted by the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk (Poland) for a long-term exchange program.
Studying under the exchange program opened up a lot of opportunities: many language practice classes, engaging teachers who are passionate about their discipline, and meaningful leisure time, without which it is difficult to imagine student life in Poland.
The Polish side warmly welcomed our students and now they are successfully mastering subjects in English and Polish: "Practical English", "Public performance", "Writing skills", "Work with a literary text", "Creative speaking", "Critical analysis of media discuss", "Prescriptive grammar", "Phonology", "Methodology of English teaching", "Polish".
"Incredible life experience, language practice, acquaintances and a world that has turned 180°", – this is how the students describe their stay in Poland. They are endlessly grateful to the management of the Poltava Polytechnic and the teachers of the Department of General Linguistics and Foreign Languages: "How good that you believed in us! And it's even better that you offered to step out of the comfort zone because that's the only way you get what you're aiming for."
Earlier, female students of Polytechnic took part in a youth exchange on discrimination and gender inequality.
