At the appeal of Rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko, letters of support from the university’s international partners are being received

International partners support Poltava Polytechnic and Ukraine

I am thankful for the support from our international partners, colleagues and friends. Foreign friends of Poltava Polytechnic continue to call, send letters and express support for Ukraine

One of the first were Polish universities – Bialystok University of Technology and AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

Colleagues from the American Santa Fe College wrote a letter, speak on their Facebook pages, keep in touch with our scientists and created a special platform Padlet (https://padlet.com/jessicasurana/e3a1uqn7xoi9j2ik) to communicate with their students and lecturers.

I am extremely grateful to my Azerbaijani friends - Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, personally to Rector Mustafa Babanli; Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction for letters and calls of encouragement, support for Ukraine.

The position was expressed by the association of German higher technical education institutions, in particular our partner universities – the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences, the University of Applied Sciences in Lübeck. German colleagues are deeply shocked by Russia’s attack on Ukraine, stand in solidarity with Ukrainian partners and believe that this attack is also an attack on common values in Europe, democracy and freedom. They support the response of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK).

We received a letter from the University of Greenwich (UK) with the belief that the situation will be resolved as soon as possible.

The Multicultural and International University of Camerino (Italy), in order to preserve peace in Europe, to promote diplomatic decisions in joint readiness for cooperation, sent a letter of support to the rectors of Unicam partner universities – Poltava Polytechnic, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv as well as the Odesa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, expressing full solidarity with the people of Ukraine and especially with students, scientists, professors and all university staff, closeness to all victims.

Colleagues from the Hebei Foreign Studies University (China) wrote that they were terribly saddened to observe the current situation between Russia and Ukraine. They are worrying about the safety of Ukrainians and praying for peace.

I call on the World Academic Society and the entire scientific community to support Ukrainian scientists and educators!

Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!
