Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine calls on the world's educational platforms to provide free access to educators

Due to the escalation of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian educational infrastructure has been severely damaged and the educational process has been suspended at all levels.

"We are convinced that access to quality education for Ukraine's children and youth during the war is absolutely crucial for maintaining the constant development of human capital in Ukraine. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine appeals to the leading providers of online education with a request to provide free access to online courses and training for all educational institutions in Ukraine," – stressed Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitization Artur Seletskyi.

Currently, Coursera, edX, Udemy, FutureLearn, Duolingo, Codecademy, LinkedinLearning, Skillshare, Udacity and Masterclass have received relevant official requests.

The Ministry of Education and Science also called on the administration of these educational resources to impose sanctions against the Russian Federation and completely limit access to relevant platforms for all individuals and legal entities of the Russian Federation, in particular, educational institutions.

It should be recalled that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine appealed to Clarivate and Elsevier with a request to stop cooperation with the Russian Federation, and initiated the issue of limiting the Russian Federation's participation in all EU instruments for scientific and innovation cooperation.
