Scientist of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Finance, Banking Business and Taxation of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Liana Ptashchenko made a speech “Prospects for investments in the energy independence of the national economy of Ukraine during the recovery period” at the First International Scientific and Practical Virtual Conference “New Dimensions, Approaches and Challenges”, which took place on July 8-9, 2022 in online format.

Scientists, teachers of leading world universities and practitioners, who expressed their own vision of the development and recovery of the countries’ economies in the war and post-war period, joined the professional communication and fruitful exchange of scientific achievements in the field of finance, investment economy, as well as the development of the national economies of leading European countries. The relevance of the speeches’ topics and the establishment of a scientific dialogue between Ukrainian and foreign scientists are often dictated by modern challenges and social transformations, which often become the driving forces for restoring the financial and economic balance of state mechanisms of influence on the economy.

In her structured speech, the Head of the Department of Finance, Banking Business and Taxation of the National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” Liana Ptashchenko thanked for many years of fruitful cooperation with international partners. According to the scientist of the Poltava Polytechnic, science has no boundaries, everyone is currently engaged in active research activities in various directions and holds their own educational front.

“I devoted today’s speech to the issue of Ukraine’s investment attractiveness on the European market. Despite the fact that the war has been going on in our country for the sixth month, Ukrainians are not only successfully resisting the aggressor, but also actively trying to promote our country’s entry into the European Union, rebuild the destroyed infrastructure, develop a powerful volunteer movement, business, education, science, improve the foundations of public administration. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, and his Office are forming a plan to restore the national economy of Ukraine, brutally destroyed by the Russian aggressor. An interactive map has been created in Ukraine, which, unfortunately, is updated every day. Since February 24, photos of destroyed settlements, civic facilities, schools, churches, and stadiums have constantly been uploaded.

In my research, I analyzed the dynamics of destruction for a month and summarized the data obtained, these numbers are simply terrifying. Ruscists are trying to destroy our culture, science and education, all the things that start a nation. And our task is to do everything for the full development of our country, science, education, and the economic sphere. I am sincerely glad that I have the opportunity to talk with foreign colleagues and share information about the urgent problems of Ukraine, which we can solve,” – commented Liana Ptashchenko.

The university scientist also received an international certificate of victory in an educational grant from the International Historical Biographical Institute for active participation in the 5th International Scientific Program “Nobel Laureates: Studying Experience and Professional Achievements for Forming a Successful Personality and Transforming the World”.

Recently, the academic team of the Polytechnic took part in the international pedagogical scientific-practical conference “Education, educators are indomitable in war”, the project of the university’s scientists won the Jean Monnet Actions competition from the Erasmus+ programme, and the Department of Finance, Banking Business and Taxation received the status of “Certified Center of the Academy of MASTER-solutions”.
