On April 25, as part of the USAID Project "Economic Support of Ukraine" a case championship from Premier Socks TM started for the first time in the Poltava region at the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic".
Students of the Poltava Polytechnic, Poltava Oil and Gas College and Myrhorod Vocational College named after Mykola Gogol are participating in the case championship, and will develop and provide ideas for finding effective methods of selling goods via the Internet for the company "TM Premier Socks".
Mentors from the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer and Information Technologies and Systems Kseniia Verhal, Head of the Department of Economics, Business and Marketing Maryna Chyzhevska, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Business and Marketing Oleksandra Kuzmenko, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Business and Marketing Olena Ivasenko, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Business and Marketing Svitlana Shcherbinina will help to develop and offer the best solution. Mentors from the TM Premier Socks company – Deputy Director of Marketing Olena Babenko, from the USAID project "Economic Support of Ukraine" – CIVITTA senior analyst, McKinsey Business Diving 2019 finalist Yaroslav Zhydyk.
During October 2022 – January 2023, university scientists were trained under the grant program for progressive universities of Ukraine "Skills Development for Launching Case Championships", with the aim of starting student case championships at the university.
"Case studies are a real business problem that students will need to solve and find some interesting and creative solutions. Their value lies in the fact that at the same time not only a practical problem is reflected, but also actualizes a certain set of knowledge that needs to be mastered when solving the proposed situation, as well as successfully combines educational, analytical and educational activities," – said Oleksandra Kuzmenko.
Participants will receive a significant addition to their resume – certificates, and the authors of the best solutions – valuable gifts, and even invitations to internships. Mentors from TM Premier Socks and the USAID Project "Economic Support of Ukraine" will help develop the best solution. To participate in the case championship, you can create your own team of up to 4 people (each member of the team needs to fill out the form above), join the work of other teams (for this you will find like-minded people in the Telegram chat) or try your hand at it yourself.
The calendar of events of the championship is as follows:
- April 25 – the official opening, with coverage of all details;
- April 28 – the registration deadline;
- May 8 – the deadline for submitting a decision;
- May 9 – the selection of the best works;
- May 11-12 – finalists will be able to present their ideas to the company’s management;
- May 16 – award ceremony.
Earlier, the Polytechnic signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Kharkiv IT Cluster, and university scientists summarized the results of the educational project "Mathematical March with the Polytechnic".
It should be recalled that Poltava Polytechnic has improved its position in the ranking of scientific activity.
