For the considerable personal input in the development of the Ukrainian science, the strengthening of the scientific potential of Ukraine, for many years of hard work and the high level of professionalism, the President of Ukraine awarded the title “Honored Education Worker of Ukraine” to Olha Komelina.
Professor Olha Komelina is a respected scientist who researches the innovative investment mechanisms of realizing the strategy of social and economic development (at macro, meso and micro levels), the problems of the safety-focused sustainable development in the digital transformation of economy, the evaluation of the efficiency of modern management technology during the strengthening of innovative competition among companies. She has been working at National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic” for more than 25 years. She is the author of more than 150 articles in specialized journals in Ukraine and abroad, 11 monographs, more than 50 educational and methodological materials, student books. The scientist has been a responsible researcher in state-funded research programs, involved in the work at Ukrainian and international editorial teams of specialized journals in economics and management.
10 PhD students have worked under the advise of Professor Olha Komelina, and undergraduate and graduate students keep winning at scientific competitions.
Since 2019, Olha Komelina is a member of the Scientific Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in Economics, and since 2020 she is a member of the expert group of MES of Ukraine in Social Sciences.

I proudly say that Poltava Polytechnic is the place for talented students and teachers, creativity and success, and their combination ensures our team new victories and achievements. After the several decades of working as a teacher and a scientist, I am proud of my successful graduates and especially the PhD students who are now scientists who have successfully defended their PhD theses. What makes me happy is a classroom full of curious students, with whom I can share the knowledge, experience and the wish to understand the essence of the phenomena that influence our lives directly. I am sure that this title is a very responsibility-full, motivating obligation for self-improvement, to continue the research activity, to pass the knowledge to youth, and to develop higher education adapting it to the challenges of today. So I invite everyone to study at our university, and in particular at Education and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management,” Professor Olha Komelina said. The scientists has recently discussed the criteria for high-quality training of doctors of philosophy in the economic specializations with the stakeholders.
Last year, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi awarded Rector of National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic", Professor Volodymyr Onyshchenkowith a III degree order of merit for achievements on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine.
