The participants of the conference were from the USA, Poland, Turkey, Kazakhstan, China, leading scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and 50 higher education institutions of Ukraine (from Vinnytsia, Hlukhiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kramatorsk, Kremenchuk, Lviv, Myrhorod, Odesa, Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi, Slovyansk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, all the higher education institutions of Poltava).

The conference was opened by the Rector of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Education Worker of Ukraine, Winner of State Award in Science and Technology, Member of the Presidium of North-Eastern Scientific Center of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, the Head of Poltava Department of the North-Eastern Scientific Center of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, the President of Poltava Minor Academy of Sciences of School Students Volodymyr Onyshchenko.
“Having created this structural division a few months ago and discussed the activity perspectives, the academic staff of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy mobilized the efforts to organize and hold their first scientific event. The department functions withing the Faculty of Sports. The psychological health of society is an incredibly important topic, especially during the lockdown and in the period after it. I am very pleased that the co-organizers and participants of this conference are the leading higher education institutions from Ukraine, as well as from other countries. The conference is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”. Now this is the higher education institution of classical type, which has new programs and specializations, in particular such as psychology,” Rector Volodymyr Onyshchenko greeted the participants.
The goal of holding the international scientific and practical conference is to highlight the most relevant scientific and practical problems of psychology and pedagogy. The scientists emphasized the psychological and pedagogical aspects of such fields as the psychological and pedagogical peculiarities of the development of personality in educational environment; the psychological and pedagogical conditions of organizing the educational and professional activity of youth in modern world; the psychology of developing the creative competence of personality; the practical aspects; the psychological aspects of health saving and health forming in the complicated conditions of environment; the psychological and pedagogical help for a personality in life changing conditions.
The moderator of the conference was Doctor of Psychology, the Head of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy of National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Professor Svitlana Yalanska.
The Academician of National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Science and Technology, member of many academies abroad, the Director of the G. S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Psychology, Professor Serhii Maksymenko greeted the participants of the conference and presented a scientific report on the informative and energetic sense element as a source and motivator of personal development. While calling to cooperation, the scientist offered to pass an interesting experiment which would give the possibility of building different spaces in the subject and practical activity, which would show the personal opinion on certain events.
The participants of the international conference were also greeted by the Hero of Ukraine, Honored Worker of National Education of Ukraine, the Academician of the International Slavic Academy of Science and the Academy of Sciences of Higher School of Ukraine, Veteran of Work, Doctor of Psychology, Professor of the Department of Psychological and Pedagogical Subjects, the Rector of the National University of Ostroh Academy Ihor Pasichnyk. He presented his own view on the challenges in the theory of personality development in the context of online education during the pandemic. “This topic is experimental and improvised, just like my ideas. Despite the numerous researches on the personality development, psychologists have not yet studied the practical influence of online education on the development and formation of personality during the pandemics,” Ihor Pasichnyk commented.
According to the two-day program of the conference the scientists held the plenary meetings, took part in the scientific digest “Identity in Forming the Modern Artist (To the Question of Multidisciplinary Connections in the Modern Scientific Discourse)”, went to an online excursion around “The Inclusive Resource Center” of Dykanka District Council of Poltava region” and an online travel “From the Institute for Noble Maidens to National University ‘Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic’”, visited the workshop “The Development of Emotional Literacy With the Method of Non-Violent Communication” and “The Anthropological Gardening”.
At the conference, 135 scientific reports were presented. The total number of authors was 169 from 50 higher education institutions and organizations. The results of the conference were gathered in a collection of scientific works with 73 scientific articles, published at the university web-site.
The academic staff of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy are thankful to the conference participants for fruitful work, interesting and relevant reports, and wish them endless energy, further scientific achievements and inspiration!
