On April 15, Director General of the Directorate of European Integration, Budgeting and Policy Coordination of the Ministry of Education and Science Oleksandr Pyzhov met with the Director of the European Public Law Organization, Professor Spyridon Flogaitis. During the meeting, experts discussed several important issues:
- conducting a comprehensive reform of legal education in Ukraine;
- improvement of teaching methods and technologies;
- improvement of research in the field of law taking into account the principles and standards of the European Union.
“We agreed with Mr. Flogaitis on the organization of specific educational projects and initiatives for Ukrainian higher legal education institutions. We are working on issues related to the organization of dual degree programs and network training by law schools of Ukraine and the School of Law and Management of the European Organization of Public Law,” – informed Oleksandr Pyzhov.
The participants exchanged opinions on the organization of the scientific study “The legal system of Ukraine under the conditions of the legal regime of martial law” and the support of this study by the European Public Law Organization.
Oleksandr Pyzhov also spoke about the creation of the Commission on Legal Education and Awareness, which will unite proactive, progressive and goal-oriented educators, teachers and legal scholars.
Previously, the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service conducted a survey on the training of civil servants and officials under martial law, the government denounced agreements in the field of education and science with the republic of belarus, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine appealed to deprive russian and belarusian scientists of access to scientific information.
