Scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism, master’s students of the specialty 292 "International Economic Relations" of the Educational and Research Institute of Finance, Economics, Management and Law of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" and representatives of the Poltava Chamber of Commerce and Industry held an on-site training session, where they discussed topical issues of preparing certification documents when exporting goods to foreign countries.
Within the framework of the meeting, future international economics specialists under the guidance of Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism of Poltava Polytechnic Iryna Chychkalo-Kondratska and Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism Iryna Levchenko learned about the practical aspects of organizing the export of domestic products and discussed real cases from the activities of the Poltava Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In order to build constructive dialogue, the interaction of education and modern labor market, the stakeholders of the educational program "International Economic Relations" – the President of the Poltava Chamber of Commerce and Industry Volodymyr Borysenko and specialists-practitioners, who gave effective recommendations on high-quality practical training of future professionals, joined the active discussion.
Master’s students of Poltava Polytechnic have got acquainted with the specifics of providing certificates for goods that fall under the preferential regime when exporting to the markets of donor countries within the framework of the General System of Preferences – countries of the European Union, Japan, Turkey, the United States of America or used within the customs territory of Ukraine if it is necessary to confirm the Ukrainian origin of goods. Volodymyr Natrusnyi, an expert on certification of the Poltava Chamber of Commerce and Industry, shared useful practical life hacks with student youth.
Students majoring in the specialty "International Economic Relations" became active participants in mini-training conducted by the head of the department of intellectual property and exhibition activities of the Poltava Chamber of Commerce and Industry Anatolii Krainyk, who presented practical cases of modern exhibition activity in the Poltava region and spoke about the peculiarities of submitting documents for intellectual property rights.
Professional communications, interactive formats of conversation during the session ("question-answer", discussion, situational analysis), convenient locations, presented experience and useful cases from professionals-practitioners of the Poltava Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the field of expertise and certification, intellectual property rights, exhibition activities, etc. positively motivate young people to conscientiously master professional competencies for increasing competitiveness of future graduates in the today’s labor market. Deliberation on real work situations and a clear algorithm for submitting documents and receiving certificates for a certain group of goods, meetings with successful people who were realized in their own profession, were of considerable interest in the master’s students studying under the educational program "International Economic Relations".
At the end of the meeting, scientists of Poltava Polytechnic and stakeholders agreed on further cooperation in the field of education and employment of the university graduates. Teachers and developers of the educational and professional program in the specialty 292 "International Economic Relations" will take into account the practical recommendations provided when training highly qualified specialists in the international economy.
Academic staff of the Department of International Economic Relations and Tourism of the National University "Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic" express words of sincere gratitude to the staff of the Poltava Chamber of Commerce and Industry for fruitful cooperation and willingness to share their own experience with students. Further plans are to continue close cooperation with stakeholders in the direction of quality practically oriented training of highly qualified specialists in the field of international economic relations.
It should be recalled that last year stakeholders discussed the criteria of quality preparation and employment of specialists in international economy, scientists of Poltava Polytechnic worked on improving the educational program "Law", stakeholders and teachers discussed ways to improve the training of specialists in physical culture and sports and worked on modernizing the content of the educational program "Documentation and Information Activities".
Recently, stakeholders have named the main criteria for successful employment of graduates in the State Audit Service of Ukraine, scientists and stakeholders analyzed the professional competencies of graduates of financial specialties, and future financiers learned about the risks related to the use of cryptocurrencies.
