Trust: Art Therapy

trust

An approach through art therapy as a solidarity program for Ukraine war victims.

The project is dedicated to supporting mental health victims of the Ukraine war through culturally competent art therapy.

It aims to raise awareness of the human impact of conflict, providing art therapy skills, organizing events to destigmatize mental health, sharing knowledge about art therapy, fostering connections between mental health centers and artists, and promoting EU values.

Main Objectives

The overall project goal is to contribute to the psychological and physical well-being of war Ukraine victims by helping them to manage conflict-related stresses and traumas. These are the specific objectives:

  • Promote Ukrainians' life history and artistic experiences as visual witnesses to the human impact of conflict and raise awareness of EU values and a more peaceful and fairer world.
  • Provide competencies for organizing artistic and cultural events outside or within the walls of hospitals and psychiatric centres to de-stigmatize mental health.
  • Provide knowledge about art therapy to mental health organizations, educators, artists and people in general.
  • Connect network mental health centres with artists, arts institutions, art school providers, and civil society in general.
  • Promote art therapy as an inclusion tool and to improve self-esteem and general well-being for people living with mental health problems.
  • Help Ukraine war victims show the power of Art therapy to communicate and heal.
